Asphalt Licenses (Test Drive Unlimited 2)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki
Think that the licenses in Gran Turismo games are hard enough? Well, try completing the licenses in this hardcore racing game.

The Asphalt License is a series of license tests that appears in Test Drive Unlimited 2. There are four license tests A7-A6, A5-A4, A3-A2 and A1. While the first license isn't too hard, the others, especially the later ones starting from the last one in the A5-A4, become even harder.

Why It Sucks

  1. You're forced to use the "Sport" driving assists just like any license test which can be a problem for cars with high tendency to spinout and oversteer, especially the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series (C209), the Dodge Viper SRT-10 (ZB II) and the 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage, which are rear-wheel drive, and due of this you will end up crashing with the barriers, obstacles and the cars which fails the license test as well as receiving time penalty by crashing and going offroad in timed license tests. Worst of all you can't set the driving assists to "Full assistance" to get rid of spinouts.
  2. Some license tests are really difficult such as Preparing for the real thing from A5-A4 license, Down the mountain, Pass them all! and Circuit from the A3-A2 license and Advance slalom from the A1 license test due to the aforementioned problems above and the fact that those licenses are very little to no room of errors. One single mistake and you're screwed up.
  3. Completion of these licenses are required to unlock the asphalt races which are mandatory to progress through the career mode which lead to a massive difficulty spike.
