Baron Brrr (Super Mario Galaxy)
Baron Brrr is an antagonist and boss fight of Super Mario Galaxy. He's a larger version of the Brrr enemies that appears through out the level, is the main boss of Freezeflame Galaxy, the thirteenth level of the game, the ninth regular boss, and overall the thirteenth boss of the game.
While not as bad as the Mega Goomba, Baron Brrr has been disliked by many players for his qualities.
Why He Sucks
- The idea of Baron Brrr is just a larger version of the Brrr enemies but with a crown on his head.
- He only has two attacks that're very easy to avoid: shooting ice balls from his head, and creating a shockwave around itself.
- The boss battle with him is easy; all you do is wait until he does his ground pound attack, do a spin attack to remove the ice around him, then do a spin attack again, just like his enemy counterpart.
- While he can knock you off the platform and into the icy waters below, you can easily get back up the platform. Not even a bit of damage is taken!
- In the final phase, while he creates two Brrr enemies to aid him in battle, they don't pose much of a threat.
- While the Ice Flower is used in the battle, it's just required to get to him!
- He is defeated in only three hits, making this battle even easier than before.
- To add insult to the injury, if played the Galaxy in order, the boss that gets fought before Baron Brrr is Major Burrows, who is a giant mole that puts up a much more bigger fight than him.
- The overall boss fight against Baron Brrr feels more like a mini-boss then an actual boss.
- While the area is small, it doesn't hinder the battle with Baron Brrr.
Redeeming Quaities
- While it is a larger verson of the Brrr enemies, the design of Baron Brrr is neat looking, and does stand out from the Brrr enemies.
- The music that plays is quite nice.
- The Ice Flower gets used, which is often considered as one of the more creative power-ups in the game.
- Baron Brrr is overall way better then the likes of the Mega Goomba.
