Creepers (Minecraft)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki
Behold, the most iconic but dreaded monster in Minecraft. Creepers.

Creepers are common hostile mobs that silently approaches players and explodes. Due to their distinctive appearance and high potential for killing unwary players as well as damaging the environment and players' constructions.

Why They Understandably Suck

  1. Creepers sneak up on the player when there not of aware of there presence. They are also silent so its hard to know if they are right behind you until they fuse.
  2. They are very annoying as their explosion can hurt you alot even with decent armour up to diamond.
  3. After Creepers explode they often leaves mess for you to clean up which can be tedious.
  4. Due to their distinctive appearance and high potential for killing unwary players as well as damaging the environment and players' constructions, they also can blow up you items from inventory as a result.
  5. Most of Mobs don't even attack them with the (exception of the Wither) likely there aware of them exploding on them. Iron golems or wolves aren't effective against them although for a fair reason as they would easily die from the explosion.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Their explosion can be sometimes useful against groups of mobs or even to excavate caves.
  2. Thankfully there are other ways to nulify the Creeper's explosion: using shields will prevent you from getting damaged by the explosion, or water can be used to negate the Creeper's destruction.
  3. If they are shot by skeletons, the Creeper will attack them. If the creeper does die to them, they have a chance to drop a music disc.
  4. Cats and Ocelots are the mob that Creepers are scared of and would avoid them at all cost.
  5. Creepers have become one of the icons of Minecraft, both among players and non-players.
