Dauntless Delver (Spiral Knights)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki

Dauntless Delver is an achievement in Spiral Knights. To obtain it, the player must travel the entire Clockwork in a single expedition without having to revive once.

The name says it all: An entire expedition.

Why this achievement sucks

  1. As the description says, you have to travel the entire Clockwork without reviving once. However, you have to do it in a SINGLE EXPEDITION.
    • This means that you can't start at Moorcraft Manor, nor at Emberlight.
  2. If you revive once, you have to start all over again.
  3. Two of the places, Moorcraft Manor and Emberlight, are locked behind a rank, and unless you're respectively Soldier and/or Defender (two ranks that gives you access to the Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels), you won't be able to do the achievement at all.
  4. You need good gear and armor, in order to survive.
  5. Due to the fact that the clockwork's levels rotate between (except when near a Graveyard, Treasure Trove, Treasure Vault or a random level), the RNG may turn this into a choreful nightmare or a cakewalk.
  6. Depending on what clockwork gate you enter, you will face a different boss, worst case scenario being Firestorm Citadel with Lord Vanaduke.
  7. Unfortunately, you have no official reward, when completed.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Some guilds that has the achievement as a requirement for something can give a reward.
  2. Luckily, the game doesn't penalize you for bringing other players with you on the exploration.
