Deck Hands (Mario Party)

If you did not find a lucky number, you are so done for with this minigame.

Deck Hands is a battle minigame in Mario Party 7 and returns as a 4-player minigame in Mario Party: The Top 100.

Why It Doesn't Get a Lucky Number

  1. This is arguably one of the worst luck-based minigames in Mario Party history since the player has to get a strong number while picking/guessing a card.
  2. For some reason, players will have a chance to lose when playing Solo Cruise in Mario Party 7, especially when the bet has 50 coins, this leads to having fewer coins after finishing this minigame.
  3. Also, if they get a weak number, especially number one, they have a chance of losing, but at least they go first after the last three players.
  4. Due to the com's AI, especially in hard difficulties, they have a chance of getting a strong number, such as 13.
  5. It returns in Mario Party: The Top 100, which causes many players to hate.
  6. In here, when playing in Minigame Island, they have a high chance of losing a life, only in hard mode, but not in normal mode since they have a chance to win and gain 10 coins.
  7. This minigame would be better if there are two more cards or them that show the numbers (before the minigame starts) first rather than shuffling.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The setting of this minigame isn't that bad.
  2. The music is decent as ususal.
  3. There is a chance of getting a strong number, therefore leading to victory.
