If you combined a hateful character, with an underwhelming battle and add in an unsaytisfying defeat, and you got yourself Mohs.

Gigant Mohs (also known as Grand Maestro Mohs, Fon Master Mohs or just Mohs) is an antagonist, and the twenty-second boss of Tales of the Abyss. Mohs has been given an underwhelming negative reception by both gamers and fans alike, both for his character and overall battle.

Why He Sucks

  1. Mohs himself is an hateful and unlikable asshole, even at the point to make Tenpenny, Brevon, Vay Hek, Mitsuo, Makarov and/or Lucien look likeable than him (and that's saying much). He has caused so much disaster, that it could make the main villain of the game blush, including:
    1. For the entire game, one of the main characters tries to say something to the goverment about the world, and how war is not agreeable... However, when Mohs says otherwise, the government believes him over the main characters, which gets annoying really quickly.
    2. Mohs tricks the government and each of all of his nations into going to war, which causes the lost of so many innocent people's lives.
    3. Mohs disrespectfully mocks Ion after she sacrifices herself to save the world.
  2. Gigant Mohs's design is outright laughable: it’s literally a giant purple ball with a set of four wings and two arms with a head. This is Tails of the Abyss, not Kirby.
  3. Due to Gigant Mohs's gigantic size, he's easy to be hit by any types of weaponry.
  4. Even thought Gigant Mohs has super armor (meaning that he won't flinch after being attached), he doesn't have that much super armor, compared to most bosses in Tales of the Abyss, which combined with the fact that he is large, makes him easy to stagger.
  5. Most (if not all) of Gigant Mohs can easy be avoided by just running around.
  6. Despite being a near end boss, Gigant Mohs will mostly use mid to high level magic arts.
  7. Even if you get hit by one of Gigant Mohs' attacks, they do very little damage, and remember folks, he is the twenty-second boss of the game.
  8. Even thought Gigant Mohs has a lot of HP, you can easily take him down, due to the fact that you have three characters.
  9. Gigant Mohs's defeat cutscene is extremly unsatisfying: all that happens is that he will rant on and on about "the score". And after all of those words, he will sink down like a blob. He doesn't even suffer after words.
  10. Despite all of Gigant Mohs' action, before and after the battle, the main characters all feel sorry for him. why would the main characters feel sorry for this ungreatful asshole aftter all of the actions he causes is beyond anyone's guess.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The music is awesome.
  2. At least the arena is interesting.
