Global Warning (WarioWare: Touched!)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki
Good luck trying to reach 30 points on Ashley's stage

Global Warning is a boss microgame found in Ashley's microgames from WarioWare: Touched!

Why It Sucks

  1. For starters, this microgame does not have the ability to attack planets or objects, except for the last one (after the player catches the astronaut) who wanted to attack the earth like comets.
  2. When there are comets, they fly fast, without any warning, which causes players to be cautious enough to dodge them.
  3. The enemy planet (blue and black planet) can cause the player to shoot ammo in different directions.
  4. If the player hits ammo or a comet, the microgame will result in a failure.
  5. This game is filled with wasted potential, they would have added warning signs or arrows to the comets so that the game will be easier, but instead failed to do so. Nose Dive from Gold doesn't have arrows for elephant snots, but the player can destroy it using the finger rockets.
  6. Some objects can fire multiple bullets at once, which makes other difficulty levels harder, especially in level 2.
  7. Even worse, when it speeds up, the firing rate for the enemies gets faster and they have a hard time dodging.
  8. In Ashley's stage, it is somewhat possible to get an extra life when the difficulty progresses.
  9. Like Rainbow Juice and Seedy Area, this microgame is painfully long to complete, especially the 3rd level.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The music and the background are decent.
  2. The concept of protecting the galaxy is a decent idea, but it is executed horribly.
  3. Since this is Ashley's first time hosting his stage, the other Ashley's boss microgames becomes easier in recent WarioWare games (Crossing Guard, Fresh off the Grill, etc).
