Hades' Heart (Kid Icarus Uprising)

Hades' Heart is the boss of the 23rd chapter of Kid Icarus Uprising.

Why It Sucks

  1. In the fight, you (as Pit) have to destroy Hades' Heart to move on to his next phase. This wouldn't be a problem, if it wasn't for the fact that he has to fight it in a Bomberman style maze, so now, it's almost impossible to hit his heart.
  2. After taking a certain amount of damage, the heart become temporarily invincible and moves around the area at high speeds and will most likely trample over Pit due to being hard to dodge.
  3. It can create clones of itself which function like Bomberman's Bombs. These can be created at about any time during the berserk state as well.
  4. The clones just explode preemptively rather than get disarmed if they take enough damage.
  5. Beating it ultimately ends up being meaningless. Upon destroying the heart, Hades basically says that he's alright.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Damage to Hades' Heart that exceeds the berserk trigger sticks for defeating Hades' Heart while not contributing to the next berserk trigger. This encourages usage of weapons such as Skyscraper Club for higher damage.
    1. Hades' Heart being defeated also takes priority over the berserk state.
