Kaepora Gaebora (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki

Kaepora Gaebora is a character who appears in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He frequently appears with the intent of giving Link details of what to do or look out for. The problem is that he takes too much time

Why He Sucks

  1. He rambles for a long time, and it make it where most of the things he says is hard to remember in the first place.
  2. Most of the things he talks about are likely things you already know or will find out from other characters, making his inclusion meaningless.
  3. At the end of his dialogue, he will ask if you would like him to repeat everything he just said. Odds are you will be cycling through his dialogue just to get to the end, which means you will most likely select yes by accident since that is the default choice.
  4. All of his speeches are long, and you have to listen to him at least five times.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. He appears in Majora's Mask, but he thankfully only makes two appearances and actualy provide help by teaching Link a new song rather than just providing needlessly long dialogue.
