Marble Zone is the second Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog.

Why It Should Take A Lava Bath

  1. Like Labyrinth Zone, this zone is very slow paced and has maze like design, making the zone very boring.
  2. As you play a bit more times, this zone becomes very easy, making it unrewarding to complete. At least Labyrinth Zone had challenge!
  3. This is a sudden difficulty spike in Sonic 1, making it hard for beginners.
  4. The boss is way too easy.
  5. The ruins in the background may be part of Sega's infamous propaganda against Nintendo, as the ruins may have been intentionally made to look like Mario, showing that his games haven't aged well and his games are a thing in the past, and that Sonic is the better game/franchise.
  6. Overall, an early example of what not to do in Sonic games.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Very good music. Not the best in Sonic 1, but it's still very catchy.
  2. Nice graphics, as usual.
