Matching Masks (WarioWare: Get It Together!)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki
All this cultural microgame just to wear that stupid mask...

Matching Masks is one of Orbulon's microgame in WarioWare: Get It Together! This microgame is considered the hardest Culture microgames.

Why It Does Not Match Masks

  1. The sliding doors in each level can cause the player to not reach on time, especially in Level 3. To make things worse, the sliding doors slide faster when it speeds up in Level 3, even in high score runs.
  2. The player can accidentally touch the wrong masks when the fox wears the corresponding mask, which causes the player to lose.
  3. The music is repetitive in this microgame.
  4. Pyoro, Kat, Ana, and Penny will touch the wrong mask if they did not match the corresponding mask due to their bad fittings.
  5. The level 3 variant is the worst offender since the sliding doors move frantically and therefore have a chance of losing because of this, so be creative in wearing the same mask.
  6. The time is short to match masks, lasting 2 seconds unless there is a character who fits well or a flying character with projectiles like Ashley.
  7. When the player loses, the fox will look disappointed, the masks drop, and the repetitive losing jingle (though short) is heard, which is downright disappointing.
  8. The masks, while cool, can be scary at times like the Day of the Dead mask.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The setting looks decent and realistic.
  2. If the player matches the corresponding masks, the fox will look happy, which is the only thing that is good for this microgame.
  3. Levels 1 and 2 are okay levels.
