NOTE: This page was created with the unofficial english translation patch in mind.

Klonoa's HP represents how much sense it makes.

Miss is one of the SFX letters in the japanese GBA game: Klonoa Heroes - Densetsu no Star Medal (Legendary Star Medal), it is displayed when enemies and bosses "dodges" one of Klonoa, Gantz or Pango's normal attacks, making said attack not effective.

Why It Sucks

  1. First of all, it doesn't make sense having such feature in a game which does not have turns like normal RPGs, when an enemy gets hit how do such attack count as a miss?
  2. Same can be said for the Ability Value: Agility, who would guess that it's purpose is to make misses happen less often without looking it up? Especially when it doesn't happen a lot in the beginning of the game.
  3. The player might take cheap and unavoidable damage from the same enemy or boss when it happens.
  4. It makes getting critical hits (described as KICK), high damage and combo (it's not that common but still possible) much easier.
  5. It can make defeating enemies and bosses more time consuming, to the point where it can result in more than 3 misses in a row.

Tips

  • Make sure to not ignore AV Agility when progressing throught the game.
  • You can enter or go back to the doors (except in boss battles, if progress was saved before the fight just reset) while in a vision to see the characters' stats, allowing you to add custom points to the AV Agility that way too.
  • Specials don't have chances of resulting in a miss, but it may be useless if it doesn't have enough custom points to do any damage and takes a long time to recharge after used once.
  • Clothes and Gears which reduce Agility custom points aren't a good idea because of the reasons listed above.
