The Spirit match against Queen Metroid in Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a Legend level spirit match. It can be found and fought on the spirit board. The match pits you against King K. Rool, and it is considered to be one of the worst spirit matches in the game.

Why it sucks

  1. King K. Rool loves to spam his neutral B move throughout the whole battle
  2. King K. Rool gets 180 hp while you are given 120 hp.
  3. At the start of the match, King K. Rool's attacks do a lot of damage. After some time passes, they do even more damage, and he will eventually turn giant which will do a lot more damage.
  4. If you manage to get his health down, there is a chance that his Final smash will become available. By this point he will be giant, making it extremely hard to dodge his final smash.
  5. Even when you do manage to beat King K. Rool, there is still the matter of shooting the spirit out of him. Since this is a legend spirit, there is a strong chance that you will fail to successfully hit him, and will be forced to either give up or spend spirit points for another shot. Fail to hit him a second time, and you have to do the entire spirit battle over again.
  6. The spirit itself isn't that good in your hands as it decreases your jumping power, making the difficulty of getting the spirit all the more frustrating.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. If you are lucky, Queen Metroid can be found and bought in the vault shop for 15000 gold, which can relieve you of having to actually play this match.
