The "-Berus" Enemies (Miitopia)

From Atrocious Gameplay Wiki
The Traveler"-Berus, one of the types of -Berus in the game, dont let its innocent face fool you as these things are from the underworld

The -Berus are a type of enemy or boss found in Miitopia. They consist of the following:

  1. Cerberus, a boss of Karkaton
  2. Facerberus, a semi common strong enemy mainly found in Powerdered Peaks
  3. "Traveler"-Berus, a boss that can be randomly encountered at the end of Traveler Quests
  4. Hound King, A boss from New Lumos and the strongest of the types

All members of this enemy class is known for being extremely cheap for various reasons.

Why They Suck

  1. To get the elephant out of the room, they all have the unique ability of being able to attack 3 times in a row, this is extremely cheap as you only get 1 attack per character and even then only 1 is in your control (unless you use hyper sprinkles).
  2. One attack is a string fire ball blast, nothing special but it hits hard.
  3. Its one of those enemy types that shoot nightmare spells, one of the worst status effects in the game as it causes characters to skip a turn and gain damage unless inside a safe spot for a turn.
  4. They have lots of hp, the Facerberus is particularly nasty as he is a normal enemy and their can be multible of them.
  5. The -Berus bosses are often with enemies and that wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that the ai attacks the enemies first so that means that the boss wont be as weak when these enemies are slain.
  6. Hyper Sprinkles are good against them but due to the auto attack it isnt wise to use them until the enemies are defeated causing the -Berus to have an unfair advantage.
  7. As said in WIS#4 since Facerberus is a common enemy (especially late in the game) you can have multible of these attackers alongside normal enemies making these fights very difficult.
  8. Overall a slog of a boss/enemy to fight though.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. At least they have cool designs.
  2. The food they drop can be a useful stat boosting item.
  3. Cerberus isn't as bad as he is weaker and isn't accompanied by enemies au the hyper sprinkles will help a hunch, plus the Great Sage is very powerful and can help out.

Tips

When fighting one, defeat the enemies alongside the boss first then use the hyper sprinkles to maximize there potent effects, also balancing HP healing items and attacks are key in fighting these

Trivia

  • The food item they drop is called the "Hell Dog", a rarity in a Nintendo game
  • Cerberus is obviously based off the mytical creature of the same name.
